Our Heavenly Father watches with delight as His Earth-born children enjoy the beautiful things in nature that He has made for them. God wants us to take great pleasure in all of His wonderful created works. The beautiful Earth, sea and sky speak to us without ceasing. God’s glory and love is seen in the works of His hands, and beholding all of these wondrous things, the receptive heart is impressed with the goodness and mercy of God.
God communicates to us through the natural world, and the attentive ear can hear His voice speaking. God reveals Himself to us through the resplendent sun in all its flaming glory bestowing upon the Earth light and warmth, the glistening moon that illuminates the night with its cheering glow, the stars shining brightly against the inky backdrop, the puffy white clouds, the clear blue sky, the bubbling brook meandering its way through a forest of giant trees on the branches of which unnumbered varieties of birds make their homes and fill the air with their sweet songs, the Earth with her carpet of exquisite flowers of all colours imparting their delicate fragrance. These magnificent works draw our attention to the wonderful God that made them all for the happiness and blessing of His Earth-born children.
