Every person that comes to God and prays to Him in faith, will receive answers to their prayers. By faith, hold on tight to the promises of God. So often we seem to be afraid to trust God:- put your whole weight upon Him and rely upon His sure promises. Before you even breathe out your prayer to God, His grace goes forward to meet the grace that is working upon your soul.
God never makes a mistake, and He will never hold back from His faithful Earth-born children anything that is for their good. Although we send up our prayers to God with an honest heart, we do not always request that which is for our best good. In this situation, our wonderful Heavenly Father hears our prayer, and will answer, at times, right away; but whether sooner or later, in answering, He will give us what is for our utmost good.
If we could behold God’s plan for us, we would discern at once that He knows exactly what is best. God will never give us that which is hurtful; He will always give us just the blessing we need, instead of that which we may have asked Him for, but which He knows in His infinite wisdom would be to our detriment.
Hold fast to God in faith even if you do not receive prompt answers to your prayers, and do not let distrust of God enter your heart; for this will separate you from Him. If faith is allowed to waver, God will not answer. All blessings received correspond to how much faith we have. “According to your faith be it unto you.” Matthew 9:29. “All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Matthew 21:22. It is our privilege to have steadfast faith in our Heavenly Father, and when we most need it, the blessings of God will descend upon us like an inundation of rain.
We must bring our lives into co-operation with our prayers. Not one prayer sent up to God in faith is lost. The way is open; the stream of God’s unfathomable love, light and mercy continues to flow earthward to His Earth-born sons and daughters.
