Constant Trust in God

18 May 2024

How often we tremble in unbelief, asking, “How can I know that God is reconciled to me? How can I know for sure that He loves and pardons me?”  It is not for us to make ourselves just with God. Jesus invites us to come to Him with all our problems and cares. We must accept the promises and the provision that God has made. We must look away from ourselves to Jesus; for in Jesus Christ the character of our Heavenly Father is magnificently revealed.

The blood of Christ is our only hope, for through His merits alone we have pardon and peace. The character of God as manifested by Jesus Christ invites our faith and love; for we see our heavenly Father whose mercies and compassion are unfailing. As we journey heaven-ward He will be with us in every difficulty, He will comfort us in every sorrow, and He will give us help in every temptation.

Let us believe in Christ as our kind, compassionate Saviour; let us allow Him to touch us with His life-giving power. There are great and precious truths in God’s Holy Word that God calls us to contemplate. In order that we may have a sound foundation for our faith we must have a correct knowledge of God. By contemplating the wonderful life of Christ, by conforming our lives to His, our conceptions of the divine character will expand, and our minds and hearts will be enobled, refined and elevated. We must aim high, looking to Jesus day by day.

When we constantly depend upon God with simple trust and prayerful confidence, we will be surrounded by the angels of heaven who delight to minister to God’s earth born children.

  2. Thank you this ministered to my spirit. Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy; you have blessed me even when I didn’t deserve it.

  3. Wow you have a gift for writing the good news. I really like the way you wrote that. It in a way shows the challanges of living in Christ day by day. And your reference for God is inspirational.
