The incomprehensible love of God

16 October 2026

The Creator God has been grossly misrepresented, and perceived to be unreasonable, cruel, stern and unforgiving: Hence, many fear, shun and even hate him. The minds of many have been so deceived and have become so confused about God that they would rather forget all about Him.

Jesus Christ came to reveal God to the world as a God of love, full of tenderness and compassion. The thick darkness of falsehood that conceals the truth about the character of God was cleared away by Jesus Christ, and God the Father was again made manifest to His Earth-born children as the great, merciful and loving God that He is.

Jesus Christ came to this Earth as the Representative of God the Father. The righteous and beautiful character of Jesus with His heart overflowing with tenderness, mercy and goodness, is set before us as the embodiment of Godly perfection. As we consider the wonderful plan of redemption we will be able to appreciate more and still more of the glorious character of God.

The creation of the human race was a manifestation of God’s unutterable love; but the plan of God to save us after we had been ruined by sin, reveals the vast reservoir of God’s mercy, compassion and boundless love for His Earth-born children. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16.

The greatest Gift that Heaven could bestow has been given that God, “might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus Christ” Romans 3:26.  By the sacrificial death in our place of Jesus Christ, God’s fallen children are lifted up from the ruin of sin to indeed become the children of God.

What incomparable love is here demonstrated, that sinners may be brought back to God and adopted into His family. And He has told us to call Him by the dearest name, “Our Father,” which is a sign of our affection for Him and the promise of His tender regard and care for us. And as a result of the great and merciful kindness of God in giving His Son, Jesus Christ to die for us, we have an even more sacred relationship to God than the gloriously beautiful shining angels that surround His throne who have never fallen.
